Simplifying Still-Life Painting
Beginners to more seasoned students may face challenges while creating a still life painting. This workshop is designed to give you tips and simple techniques to create a successful still life painting and gain confidence as a painter.
This workshop will focus on making small, quick still-life studies on smaller-sized panels in order to develop an approach that will work for you every time.
The main focus will be on creating the illusion that an object on a flat surface is round. Topics covered will be preparing the surface, paint choices, subject choices, how to start, straightforward color mixing, impactful brushstrokes, and simplifying the value scale.
There will be a quick painting demo for the first hour. This workshop is designed to keep painting fun!
