Art Lecture: The Painter's Chair by Hugh Howard
Sunday, October 18th — 2pm
Author and historian Hugh Howard spoke at RAI to learn about the first painters in America - how they sought to establish the art of painting in America in a distinctly American way, while celebrating George Washington as the Father of his Country and establishing the era of American portraiture.
Made possible by funds from the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
