Patricia Nebbeling teaches the principles of traditional oil painting with an emphasis on depicting florals with freshness and vibrancy. She studied under both John P. Osborne and Danielle Wexler who shared the principles of the prismatic palette to model form and convey atmospheric effects. Students will receive insight into how to approach the painting process starting with the simple block in and then moving on to thicker paint, descriptive edges, and increased value contrast.
Patricia Nebbeling’s work has been juried into events around the country including the 2016 American Impressionist Society 17th Annual National Juried Exhibition , the 2016, 2015 and 2014 Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional shows, the 2017 ,2014and 2013 Oil Painters of America National Shows, and Plein Air Events in Cranford, New Jersey and Richmond, Virginia.
She is a member of New York’s prestigious Salmagundi Club and an associate member of the Oil Painters of America and the American Women Artists. She is an elected artist in American Artist Professional League and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters. She was recently an award winner at the 2016 and 2015 Ridgewood Art Institute Juried Shows and the 2017 Salmagundi Club Floral Show.
