Laura Paray’s class concentrates on landscape, still life and self-portraiture. She emphasizes how light interacts with the subject and how to convey that on canvas. Laura started at the Ridgewood Art Institute when she was a child herself and has continued through the years. During her years with the Ridgewood Art Institute, she studied traditional oil painting techniques primarily with John P. Osborne and Arthur F. Maynard.
She currently serves as the education chair of the Ridgewood Art Institute Board of Directors. Laura graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rutgers University and has also studied at the Art Students League in New York City. She has exhibited in the tri-state area and has won awards for her oil paintings.
