Danielle Wexler was born and raised in Bruxelles, Belgium. Danielle studied several years with John Phillip Osborne at the Ridgewood Art Institute. Previously, she studied privately with Robert Gary and Frank Janca, both former students of David Leffel. She also studied at the Reilly League of Artists with Cesare Borgia and Lou De Luca.
Ms. Wexler teaches the fundamentals of oil painting at the Ridgewood Art Institute. She awakens in the student a keen sense of observation as seen "through the eyes of the artist." She teaches the student how to create the illusion of light on canvas. She emphasizes the orchestration of edge work, value and color.
Her work has been sold to private collectors in the United States and Europe. Regionally her work has been exhibited at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport, Connecticut and the Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont. She has won many awards, most notably the Hudson Valley Art Association and the Ridgewood Art Institute. Danielle is an elected member of the Oil Painters of America, the Hudson Valley Art Association and the American Artists Professional League. Ms. Wexler serves on the Board of Directors at the Ridgewood Art Institute.
