Jill Olivito's class curriculum concentrates on still life and landscape with an emphasis of the flow of light on the subject. Jill has been a member of the Ridgewood Art Institute for almost 20 years.
She studied traditional oil painting techniques with extensive experience in landscape, still life and portrait with Arthur F. Maynard. She taught Adult Education in the Ridgewood Art Institute's Community Educational Program, in cooperation with the Ridgewood Community School.
Her work has been exhibited at the Hudson Valley Art Association, Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Salmagundi Club as well as the Ridgewood Art Institute juried shows. She was a first place winner of the Arthur F. Maynard Memorial Award for Best Light and Atmospheric Effect. She has also won awards at the Salmagundi Club of New York, American Artists Professional League New Jersey, Miniature Art Association, West Essex Art Association and Community Art Association.
