Edwin Broussard received his BA degree in illustration from the Art Center College of Design in California. Graduating with honors, he taught Life Drawing and Drawing from the Costumed Model there for four years before coming east to pursue his career in illustration. He has been an illustrator and painter in the New York area for thirty years with clients that include AT&T, Bell Telephone, Exxon, NASA, Panasonic, Scott Foresman, Volvo, and Winsor & Newton.
His national juried shows include: Allied Artists of America, Audubon Artists, Hudson Valley Art Association, the Salmagundi Club, the American Artists Professional league where he is a Fellow Member, and the Society of Illustrators.
Represented in many private and corporate collections, he has received numerous awards, including the Frank Dumond Memorial Award as well the Grumbacher Gold Medal. Mr. Broussard's classes work from both the costumed and life models, as well as from still lifes. His students are taught sound drawing principles stressing line, form, and light in various mediums and techniques.
