The Ridgewood Art Institute’s 56th Annual Sponsors Show will be open this year with a reception on
Sunday, April 13th from 2pm until 5pm, and the show will culminate in a drawing held Friday
evening, May 9th. This highly anticipated show features original pastel, oil, graphite, and watercolor
paintings donated to the Institute by its members and instructors. An opportunity to have a portrait
painted of a loved one or a beloved pet is also a possible choice. The first 120 people to contribute
$250 to the Institute become sponsors of the show. The 120 sponsors are then encouraged to
come to the Institute’s galleries to view the donated paintings, and to prioritize their favorites on a
worksheet. On the final night of the show, Sponsors return to the Art Institute galleries to participate
in the exciting drawing, officiated by the Institute’s President and the Mayor of Ridgewood. As each
Sponsor’s name is drawn by lot, they are invited to choose among the paintings in the show to take
home an original work of art.
This year’s drawing will take place at the Institute’s Galleries at 12 East Glen Avenue in Ridgewood
on Friday, May 9th at 8:00 pm. To become a sponsor and participate in the drawing, mail a check to
