28th Annual Regional Juried Show
Dates: January 26 - February 10, 2008
Reception: January 27, 2008, 2-4 in our galleries
Chairpersons: Lauren Andreach and Marianne Kuhn
Description: The juried show is open to all artists working in a representational or traditional
manner in the New York Metropolitan Area. Professional and non-professional works will be
judged on an equal basis by a qualified jury. Only accepted works will be shown. The receiving
will be on Jan 12, 2008. Please call the Ridgewood Art Institute to receive a copy of the juried

56th Annual Sponsors Show
Dates: April 14 - May 9, 2008
Reception: April 13, 2008 2 - 5 pm.
Drawing: May 9, 2008 8:00pm
Chairperson: Cathy Puccio
Description: This remarkably original, eminently successful show features paintings given to the
institute by member artists. The Sponsors are the first of a limited number of people who
contribute $250. On the last night of the show, as their names are drawn, each sponsor selects
their favorite painting to take home. For a sponsorship application form, please click here.
49th Annual Young People's Scholarship Exhibition
Dates: June 8 - 13, 2008
Chairpersons: Diana Gibson, Charlotte Sullivan
Description: An exhibition of works done by the Institute's young aspiring artists and
non-member children from surrounding areas. Perhaps the best show of the year!
ELIGIBILITY
The Ridgewood Art Institute invites all young artists in Ridgewood and surrounding communities
to enter this exhibition. Students ages 8 to 17 may enter one original work in any medium.
Student members of the Ridgewood Art Institute may enter up to two original works. School and
independent work of any size is acceptable. All pictures must be framed, wired and ready for
hanging, no exceptions. Glass will not be permitted. Only plexiglass will be accepted.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Entries must be delivered to the Ridgewood Art Institute on Saturday, May 17th between 11am
and 4pm. In addition to filling out an entry form on receiving day, the following information must
be printed on the back of the artwork: Name, title, age, address, telephone number, school and
grade.
JUDGING
All entries will be judged by the Ridgewood Art Institute's instructors.
AWARDS
12 scholarships will be awarded in traditional painting. Recipients will receive free instruction at
the Institute (one session per week) from September 2008 through June 2009. Cash prizes,
merchandise awards, certificates of merit and honorable mentions will also be awarded.
Recipients of a Ridgewood Art Institute scholarship will be ineligible for another scholarship for
the next 3 years.
RECEPTION, AWARDS CEREMONY & EXHIBITION DATES
An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 8th from 2pm - 4pm for
all entrants, their family and friends. The exhibition will close on June 13th. Gallery hours are
1pm - 5pm.
REMOVAL OF WORKS
All works must be picked up on Saturday, June 14th between 11am - 4pm.
LIABILITY
The Ridgewood Art Institute will not be responsible for loss or damage of the entries.
